Hey folks, thanks for giving me the chance to introduce myself. My name is Ryan Lavigne and I am a photographer, graphic designer, and entrepreneur born and raised in Southern New Brunswick, Canada.

From a very young age, art has a passion of mine. I would spend countless hours drawing or painting on anything I could get my hands on. While a traditional education was important to me, and I managed to remain on the honor roll throughout my school career, I simply could not leave art behind and went on to complete a diploma in classical animation (yes, flipping reams of paper to breathe life into the characters I would create).

I moved back to my home town after college and given the sparse selection of job opportunities here for somebody with my training, I ended up focusing my efforts on graphic design, worked as a freelancer and joined a couple small agencies for a couple of years. It was during this time that I first started taking photography seriously and used every ounce of my college training to compose dynamic photographs which quickly took off. Since then I have continued to work as a designer, photographer and even worked for a little over a year as a marketing manager for a vehicle dealership.

Then, at the end of 2018, life would end up taking a bit of a tangent on me where I found myself opening Fundy Float Corp., a floatation therapy clinic in Rothesay, New Brunswick. To this day, I can usually be found there greeting clients, giving tours and teaching the folks who call or stop by all about the benefits of sensory deprivation.

Fortunately, the nature of running a float centre does afford me a fair amount of time to continue my freelancing efforts. I am grateful for the clients that I retained throughout the transition as well as for the amazing brands I’ve started working for along the way.

I currently live in Quispamsis; a small suburb just outside of Saint John with my wife Krystal, children; Jackson and Tenley, and two boxers; Copper and Apollo. When not working, you can generally find me hanging with them or close friends, being creative (designing, writing, playing guitar) or dreaming up my next big idea!
